Jose was quick to respond to my request. He came out promptly to access and give me a quote on the work that I wanted to get done. His quote was reasonable for the amount of work. We set a date to get it done. I had to change the date and he was agreeable to reschedule and on that date he was on time early with his crew. The work was done in a short amount of time. They cleared all the overgrown junk trees, trimmed trees and then cleared all the debris and hauled it away. When they finished I could actually see all the fence and the entire yard. Jose Servin and his team trimmed a total of 7 oaks and one crape myrtle yesterday. He is timely with appointments and even keeps in touch the day prior. The trees are looking their best in the 15 years I have them. The men worked fast and well together. The whole team is well equipped with safety helmet, eye and hearing protection & clothing, safety ropes, the works. There is also a wood chipper and debris removal truck. We had the honor of meeting Jose before Hurricane Beryl that hit Houston on July 7th 2024, we had originally called him to trim our 200 yo Red Oak, he was in awe with the beauty of the tree, immediately noticed we had a momma woodpecker living up high in the tree which he said he would need to save/relocate before starting the trimming process. We immediately knew we found the right guy for the job!! Fast forward, the tree succumbed to the high winds that came through Sugarland. The tree was uprooted and now in tree heaven. LOL We called him back to cut it up, but was honest enough to say he wasn’t prepared for the size and heavy equipment required, which we appreciated. His honesty kept him #1 on our list. Servins tree care did a wonderful job. It’s been several years since our trees were trimmed. They were starting to grow over the roof which was just replaced a couple years ago. They run a well established operation. Had proof of insurance as requested with the quote, showed up properly geared with safety, did not make a lot of unnecessary yelling and noise. Worked the entire time besides a lunch break (could hear the saws). Jose and his crew were true professionals. Communication and coordination given the weather and my specific requests were top notch and pleasantly so. Sales/bid visit was best in class among other providers with over 100 reviews in 5-star category, he won't just tell you what he will do, he will point out exact branches and areas he will clear out in a way you cannot possibly misunderstand. They cared for my property and respected me and the property, as well as my neighbors' properties. They went out and put a tarp in the neighbor's property to prevent leaves and debris from making a mess by the pool and in the pool. Jose also accommodated all my other little requests and I am truly grateful to have found him and his company to do business with in the future! And all this while literally beating the competition pricing in some cases by a whole lot of difference. And the work they did was very clean and followed all proper previous agreements about various plants and trees to a t. We had 2 large Mulberry trees that were pretty rotten, and were becoming a safety issue. We had Servins Tree Care come out and take a look at them, and they confirmed that we should remove them. They were very professional, and safety conscious. Jose and his crew did an excellent job on trimming our oak tree in front of our house. He was very responsive and communicative prior to coming out. He was honest in his answers when we asked to trim more limbs of the tree. Yes he could’ve did what we asked for and charged us more but he gave us his thoughts on why we shouldn’t trim certain branches. The cleanup after all the trimmings was done was superb. I had a tree that was hit by lightening months ago. A family member assured me that I had plenty of time to get it cut down. Turns out the tree died FAST!! On Thursday, October 28, 2021, Houston had super high winds that took down a lot of trees and knocked out power. I promised myself then and there that I would move forward with getting estimates to have the tree removed. Servin's Tree Care was recommended to me by a colleague. They provided the fastest and most-economical estimate for the tree removal and stump grinding. They scheduled our tree removal for the following Monday, November 1st. They had a crew of three and artfully removed the tree without incident within four hours. A neighbor of mine had a tree in very close proximity removed (the stump remains) and it took that company two full days to remove and they dropped all kind of debris onto my roof and carport.
